To further strengthen friendship with each other while enjoying nature, KADIWA members from the Local Congregation of Spruce Meadows, Ecclesiastical District of Calgary, Canada, conducted an activity called “Nature Walk” on July 1, 2023.

For about an hour and a half, the KADIWA members walked the approximately three-kilometer distance from the public parking lot to Lake Agnes, a beautiful lake with Rocky Mountains—the mountain range in North America—as a backdrop.

With an elevation gain of 400 meters or 1,300 ft, the said lake is accessible through a trail that also leads to a nearby iconic lake, Lake Louise, a ten-minute car ride and 200-meter walk from the village of its namesake located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada.

Further up the trail lies Lake Agnes Tea House, where the brethren took a respite while enjoying each other’s company over casual conversations.

“The activity lived up to its aim. It has promoted healthy lifestyle. We also had fun, and our bond further strengthened,” Mark Israel Sanchez, KADIWA congregation president, explained.

Bea Sanchez, KADIWA member, said, “It’s a great opportunity to explore nature. And being with my fellow members made it more enjoyable.” — With reports from Hazel Bunag of INC News Section
