In the Philippines, the month of March is designated as the Fire Prevention Month to raise awareness among the population as more fire incidents are recorded during this month than any other.

To be ever-prepared for any fire-related emergencies, officers of the Society of Communicators and Networkers, International (SCAN) in the Ecclesiastical District of Negros Oriental endeavored to improve their firefighting skills during their training-seminar held on March 19, 2022.

Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel in Pamplona were invited to lead the training-seminar, which took place at a gymnasium within this town. They imparted to the SCAN officers more advanced knowledge and skills necessary to heighten their readiness in fire-related incidents.

“In activities like this, we are equipped with the skills that we need to prevent any untoward incidents. And anytime that there is an emergency, we would be able to respond accordingly, and most especially, we would be able to perform our Church duties peacefully,” enthused Ephraim Belmonte, SCAN President of the Local Congregation of Pamplona. — With reports from INC News Section
