A new house of worship has risen in Burias Island, one of three islands that belong with the Philippine province of Masbate, west of the Bicol Peninsula.

The Church Administration had the 100-seater chapel, standing in Barangay Pinamandayan, San Pascual, Masbate, constructed for the local congregation named after the said village.

Due to valid considerations such as transportation, the Pinamandayan Congregation is under the Ecclesiastical District of Naga City, Camarines Sur

The district leadership led the congregation’s members in dedicating their new house of worship to God through a special worship service they held on November 3, 2023.

District supervising minister Brother Misael Dungca Jr.’s sermon delved on the great significance of building and maintaining houses of worship according to God’s teachings not only for His people’s spiritual welfare but, most of all, for His glory.

The house of worship was furnished with new furnitures, electrical equipment, and audio-video facilities, among others.

“We thank our Lord God for He made the Church Administration an instrument for us to have this new house of worship,” said the congregation’s head deacon, Nardito Cabiles.

“We will see to it that every member of the Church in our local congregation always uphold the proper worship to God,” assured Brother Job Rivera, resident minister. — With reports from INC News Section
