New converts to the genuine Christian faith were formally added to the Lord’s flock in Lingayen and neighboring towns in Pangasinan, Philippines upon their baptism on June 24, 2023.

The would-be members from various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Lingayen, Pangasinan gathered at San Fabian Congregation’s house of worship to receive their much-awaited holy baptism and its attendant blessing of, among others, the hope for salvation.

Brother Roselito Carlos, district supervising minister, officiated at the baptismal service. Through his sermon, the candidates for baptism received further instruction and edification through the words of God in the Bible. They were encouraged to remain steadfast in their new-found faith and live by it till the end to receive salvation on the Lord Jesus Christ’s return.

Before their actual baptism, they took their oath of membership, vowing to “continue serving and worshiping the Lord God until the last moment of their lives,” according to Brother Ruben Calimlim Jr., resident ministerial worker, who accompanied the new converts from his assignment, the Binmaley Congregation.

One of the newly baptized, Barber Serrano from the Dulag Congregation said that he is happy because “I am [now] among those whom God recognizes as His chosen ones in these last days, so now I am sure of receiving salvation on Judgment Day.”

Another one, Edna Viñas from the Rosario Congregation, said she joined the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), because “I understood that the Iglesia Ni Cristo is the true Church that will bring people to salvation and receive eternal life in the Holy City.” — With reports from Joanne Maurelle Vallo of INC News Section
