Bearing in mind the lingering effect of the pandemic on the livelihood of peoples and communities, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Samar in the Philippines traveled to two barangays—Silvino Lubos and Dolores—48 kilometers and 74 kilometers away, respectively, from the Church’s district office at Capitol Avenue, Catarman, Northern Samar, and there held an outreach-evangelical missions on January 14 and 15, 2022.

After introducing the Iglesia Ni Cristo and its faith, Brother Isaias Antinew, district supervising minister, and Brother Dante Bacrang, assistant district supervising minister, led the Church members in handing over relief packages to the residents.

“We want to be of help to our fellowmen who are also afflicted by the pandemic,” said Brother Marlo Celso Arellano, resident ministerial worker of Silvino Lubos Extension.

About the Church’s efforts in propagating God’s words on top of its outreach efforts, Brother Arellano went on to say, “That is the most important help [we could extend]. For, if God wills that our guests would be called inside the true Church, and be baptized, they will be among His true servants promised of salvation on Judgment Day. That inspires us to always unite with Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, our Executive Minister, in holding these activities.”

During the first month of 2022, the district was also able to conduct an outreach to two island barangays—Cabadiangan Laoang, in Batag Island, and Progress, in Biri Island. The brethren traveled via motorized banca to reach these communities and there also shared their faith and also gave care packages under the Aid to Humanity program of the Church. Residents were expressive of their gratitude to the Church members for their selfless efforts. — With reports from INC News Section
