The Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City endeavored to remind married couples concerning their duties to each other and to their family through a special gathering which was held on December 24, 2022, at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of San Francisco.

The special gathering, which was in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Buklod organization, was officiated at by Brother Charmil Castro, a minister assigned in the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) Office. Through his Bible-based homily, he reiterated to the husbands and wives their duties to their respective spouses as well as their mutual responsibility of teaching true religion to their household.

“Special gatherings, such as this, are important so that the words of our Lord God prepared by the Church Administration may be taught to us, parents,” Brother Virgilio del Rosario Sr., district supervising minister, said. “We will also teach God’s words to our children. Doing this will ensure that every Iglesia Ni Cristo family, from the parents to their children, become strong in the faith, and most of all, receive salvation on Judgment Day.”

“As parents in the Church Of Christ, we have the duty to guide our children as they grow up and teach them how to become strong in the faith, having reverent fear of God,” said Christina Damot, assistant head secretary of the Local Congregation of Araneta.

During the gathering, additional officers in the said family organization were sworn in to their respective Church duty to help in further caring for their fellow Buklod members. — With reports from INC News Section
