Students from the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City received spiritual nourishment through God’s words taught to them during their special gathering on October 9, 2023. This was held in commemoration of the 54th founding anniversary of the Christian Brotherhood International (CBI), the organization of Church members enrolled in schools at a given period.

A number of CBI members gathered at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Batasan Hills 1, which served as the host site. Those assembled in the houses of worship of the Fairview and Araneta congregations joined the gathering via livestreaming.

Officiating minister, Brother Virgilio Del Rosario Sr., taught a lesson on the kind of knowledge they should value most. Citing from the Holy Scriptures, the district supervising minister reminded the attendees that although it is important to gain wisdom in this world, it is of far greater importance that they receive wisdom pertaining to Christian service and salvation, which he clarified are their God-given rights as Church Of Christ members.

“We held this special gathering in our district to teach the youth in the Church the importance of their divine election,” Brother Del Rosario, stated in an interview. “Our Executive Minister taught them God’s words through the lesson delivered that they should remain firm in the faith, and safeguard their membership in the Church Of Christ, especially now that the Second Advent of our Lord Jesus Christ is near.”

“Having received God’s counsel through this gathering brought much relief in my heart,” Kiarra Jane Cruz from the Local Congregation of Payatas, said. “We, students, are also expected to be among those living in holiness. And for us to be able to do that, it is vital that we follow what was taught to us earlier, that we keep ourselves from being influenced by the evils of this world.” — With reports from INC News Section
