The Christian Society for the Deaf (CSD) officers from the Ecclesiastical District of Sarangani, Philippines, hosted a basic Sign Language seminar for the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in the Local Congregation of Apopong at their house of worship on September 10, 2023.

As the CSD officers teach basic signs, such as the alphabet, greetings, and Church terminologies, the attendees imitated their lead on how to correctly express themselves via Sign Language.

“CSD aims to express our concern for the spiritual welfare of the Deaf brethren,” Ghea Anticamara, CSD officer from the Local Congregation of Polomolok, explained.

“We hope to encourage our fellow brethren to become CSD officers, and thus become helpers of the Church Administration in caring for the Deaf brethren,” said Leah Rodriguez, CSD officer from the Local Congregation of Fatima. — With reports from Jimnah Lagos of INC News Section
