To help in keeping a clean environment and fostering concern for nature, officers and members of the Society of Communicators and Networkers, International (SCAN) from the Ecclesiastical District of Taiwan South held a coastal clean-up activity at Anping Beach, Annan District, Tainan City on April 30, 2022.

A popular tourist spot, Anping Beach is a haven for windsurfers and skim boarding enthusiasts.

The brethren scoured the coastline for trash, such as plastic bottles and caps, microplastics, and other types of litter, which they picked up and properly disposed of afterwards.

“I’m happy to participate in this activity, and be of help to beautify our surroundings,” said district SCAN president Felix Andres from the Local Congregation of Xinshi.

“We hope that through this activity we can encourage our fellowmen here in Taiwan to maintain our environment’s cleanliness. We also hope that they would know more about the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ),” said Almer Cantilado, SCAN officer and head deacon from the Local Congregation of Kaohsiung City. — With reports from INC News Section
