A seminar on overcoming loneliness was spearheaded by the KADIWA organization in the Local Congregation of Macau, Ecclesiastical District of Macau, for its members who are overseas workers on September 9 and 10, 2023.

The organizers of the two-day seminar, which was held at the congregation’s house of worship, had the welfare of the brethren, who had to leave their families to find better work in Macau mainly for the sake of their loved ones themselves, at heart.

Discussions led by resource speakers Jan Adrian Hernandez and Jeddah Ortiz, aimed by giving some pointers on overcoming loneliness caused by homesickness and other such unpleasant emotions and stressors.

The speakers, both with the Macau Congregation and who talked on day one and two of the seminar, respectively, drew added inspiration for their lectures from their long years of experience as overseas workers themselves.

“We would like to thank our Lord God, for through the Church Administration, He allowed this activity to be conducted, and became an instrument to give our OFW brethren the courage and inspiration they truly need, as they continue to work here, where they are not with their family and loved ones,” said Gina Pinaroc from the same congregation.

Most importantly, the attendees received spiritual upliftment through the words of God delivered by the congregation’s resident minister, Brother Ruel San Gil. They were advised to all the more be devoted as Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members and obedient to God’s teachings in order for them to obtain His favors and thus enjoy success in life, wherever they may be. — With reports from Cris Evert Oasan of INC News Section
