The Local Congregation of Sibagat, in the Ecclesiastical District of Agusan del Sur, Mindanao, Philippines, on November 30, 2022 conducted an evangelical mission which featured two languages in proclaiming the pure gospel.

Due to the approach, the concerted efforts of the brethren in promoting it to their neighbors and townmates, and most of all God’s mercy, the missionary activity drew a significant number of guests.

“We held a week-long devotional prayer,” disclosed Ressie Beronio, the head deacon. “During this period, we invited our our loved ones and friends, informing them that the preaching of God’s words will be held in both Filipino and Cebuano. This caught their attention and many accepted our invitation.”

Members of the local congregation also handed out Pasugo: God’s Message magazines as well as pamphlets to their neighbors and friends whom they invited to the evangelistic event.

Brother Hernane Agias, assistant district supervising minister, and Brother Narciso Sanchez, the resident minister of Sibagat Congregation, led the study of God’s teachings in the Bible, delivering an inter-related lessons on the need to join the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in order to have the hope of receiving salvation on Judgment Day. Brother Agias, who used the Filipino language, preached first; Brother Sanchez, taught his part in Cebuano, the mother tongue of most residents. — With reports from INC News Section
