Special gathering in Cebu City edifies youth

Members of the KADIWA and Binhi organizations in the Ecclesiastical District of Cebu City, Cebu convened for a special gathering on October 21, 2023 at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Cebu City. It was held as part of the district’s commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the said Christian Family Organizations (CFO).
“This special gathering is truly important for through this, the youth in the Church Of Christ are taught and guided with the words of God,” Brother Jomar Dueñas, district supervising minister, said in an interview.
In his homily during the special gathering, he reminded the attendees of the biblical teaching that as members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), they should serve as good examples in upholding the Christian way of life by remaining obedient to God’s commands.
“We eagerly attended this special gathering for we know that we will receive God’s counsel on how we should live as members of the Church Of Christ,” Trisha Leigh Vailoces, district Binhi president, said.
“Through this gathering, our faith was strengthened once more, and we were guided towards our active services to our Lord God,” said Era Augusto, district KADIWA president. “Also, we were given the opportunity to meet with our fellow KADIWA and Binhi members,”
As part of the said gathering, brethren from different local congregations took their oaths as new officers in the said organizations. — With reports from Jemaima Jamito of INC News Section
