“This special gathering is important for the choir members to be inspired with God’s words. This is to further encourage them to continue trusting in God,” Brother Manny Benedicto, the Tokyo, Japan District supervising minister, said after officiating the holy occasion for choir members.

Held on March 27, 2022, the special gathering was attended by choir members from various local congregations in the prefectures of Kanagawa, Chiba, Fukushima, Shizuoka, Gunma, Hokkaido, Ibaraki, Iwate, Aomori, Okinawa, Miyagi, Tochigi, and Yamanashi. They went to their respective houses of worship and connected via videoconferencing to the host site, the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Saitama, where those from the local congregations of Tokyo, Ichikawa, Saitama, Miyashiro, and Sakado Group Worship Service (GWS) attended.

“I have been a choir member ever since I was in the Children’s Worship Service (CWS). The reason why I can still perform my duty is because of God’s love,”  said Yuki Yasutake, choir leader of the Local Congregation of Saitama.

Through special gatherings, such as the one held for choir members in Tokyo, the Church Administration continues to strengthen the faith of the Church officers for them to continue performing their duty. — With reports from INC News Section
