Taking after the Church Administration’s concern for the spiritual welfare of the youth, the Ecclesiastical District of Bulacan East held special gatherings on October 7 and 8, 2023. These were attended by the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) teachers and Christian Brotherhood International (CBI) members, respectively.

Brother Daniel Llagas Sr., district supervising minister, officiated in both gatherings. During the special gathering of the CWS teachers, which was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Pulong Buhangin, he emphasized the officers’ pivotal role in the Christian way of upbringing the young members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). The Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, commands the officers in the Church to take good care of His young servants, Brother Llagas also highlighted.

After the preaching of God’s words, newly appointed CWS teachers took oath of office. Among them was Loislane Octaviano, who said, “I deem my office in the Church a great wealth. That is why I will strive to fulfill what I vowed to God, that is, to take care of His young servants.”

Meanwhile, the special gathering of CBI members was held at the house of worship of Sapang Palay Local Congregation. The Church’s youth, who are either high school or college students, attended.

Brother Llagas relayed to them the biblical truth that knowledge should be sought after as the Lord God Himself states. But, they must not allow the successes brought about by the knowledge that they gained serve as hindrances as they continue worshiping and serving Him. Brother Llagas then proved from the Bible that the most important knowledge of all is knowing God by being reverent and obedient to all of His commandments.

In light of God’s words she received, CBI district president Lorgilyn Colesio affirmed that she will “do my best to impart to my fellow students the importance of relying to God for our needs and aspirations in life for us to have a secure and bright future.” — With reports from Dianne Verduz of INC News Section
