As the Ecclesiastical District of Ilocos Sur in the Philippines reached its 75th anniversary earlier this year, more extensions were established to continuously cater the spiritual needs of the growing number of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in the province.

The most recent was the Lussoc Extension of the Local Congregation of Sto. Domingo. Brother Manuel Santos, district supervising minister, led on October 25, 2023 its inaugural worship service at the new extension’s place of worship, which is almost five kilometers away from that of its mother congregation.

Grateful for the new development in their congregation, Roel Tagorda, head deacon, expressed, “Thanks to the Church Administration for approving the establishment of the extension here in Brgy. Lussoc, Sto. Domingo, Ilocos Sur. Most of all, thanks be to God for He allowed all the brethren here to unite and help one another in all the Church’s endeavors.”

“The establishment of this extension is necessary for the Church because brethren around this area have a much closer place of worship where they can attend sacred gatherings, most important of which is the worship service,” said Brother Prince Cordero, resident ministerial worker.

Brother Rogel Carlos, district Church officers overseer, who was also present in the gathering, observed, “The brethren were very happy as they witnessed God’s grace to them through the recently established extension. We will continue praising the Lord and submitting to the leadership of our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo.” — With reports from Edlyn D. Antolin of INC News Section
