Church officers from the Ecclesiastical District of Taiwan South convened at the places of worship of their respective local congregations to attend special gatherings simultaneously held on December 5, 2023.

The said gatherings were led by each congregation’s resident minister. Brother Mayonel Taal, district supervising minister, officiated at the place of worship of the Local Congregation of Gangshan. Citing from the Holy Scriptures, he taught that Church officers ought to be dedicated and responsible in fulfilling their Church duties.

Also witnessed during the holy gatherings were the oath-taking of new officers. In total, 255 took their oath of duty.

Jenlee Macapagal, newly-sworn head deacon in the Local Congregation of Changhua City, stated, “I am so thankful to the Almighty God for entrusting me this duty of being a part of our local congregation’s leadership. I will remain faithful to my duty, and submissive to the Church Administration.”

“Officers are being added in the Church to further help its Administration in looking after the spiritual welfare of the brethren, so that they remain steadfast in the faith, and they reach a quality worthy of salvation on Judgment Day,” said Brother Ruben Sumaoang, district Church officers overseer. — With reports from Lean Maglalang of INC News Section
