The Iglesia Ni Cristo’s district in Thailand sponsored a blood donation drive on December 11, 2021 participated in by brethren from various local congregations in the country.

Held in cooperation with the Thai Red Cross Society, the charity event was deemed never more timing as in Thailand, “blood donations have dramatically decreased by 50% making blood supplies run low” due to the Covid-19 pandemic (english.redcross.or.th).

Most of the brethren who volunteered passed the health screenings and were qualified as donors. One of them, Charles Christian Lorilla, KADIWA officer from the Local Congregation of Rangsit, said, “It feels good to know that the blood we donated helps people in need, especially in these pandemic times when blood donations are at an all-time low.”

Brother Willen Regalado, Thailand Ecclesiastical District supervising minister, oversaw the congregations’ participation in the Church Administration-approved humanitarian event held at the Red Cross headquarters in Pathumwan District, Bangkok under the auspices of the Felix Y.
