Ten talented Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Paniqui, Tarlac gave all their best as they showcased their singing prowess during the Songs of Faith, Love and Hope (SOFLAH) district finals held on March 26, 2023 at the Farmers Training Center of Tarlac Agricultural University.

The finalists, each representing one of the district’s ten areas, serenaded the audience with their captivating voices as they sang Iglesia Ni Cristo Original Music.

Their performances were evaluated based on voice quality, musicality and interpretation, and overall impact. The panel of judges comprised Gemma Bolusan, a choir directress from Timmaguab; Victoria Tiu, choir member from Paniqui; and Guiane Pasetes from Estipona.

Declared as champion was Arianne Lei Clemente, from the Local Congregation of Lasong, who sang Ako’y Maghihintay sa Iyong Pagliligtas (I will wait for Your promised salvation). With joy, she expressed, “I am thankful to God for giving me this talent. I am also grateful to my parents who never failed to support me in this competition.”

Placing first runner up was Princess Alphea Aguirre from San Juan de Milla Congregation, who also sang the aforementioned song. The second runner up was Avisha Morille Gasmena from the Local Congregation of Dicolor; she sang Child’s Prayer.

“We, as parents, make sure that our child receives all the support she needs in this competition,” stated Reynaldo Clemente, the champion’s father. “Thus, together with my wife, we often remind her to sing wholeheartedly, and may her Church duty inspire her.” — With reports from INC News Section
