The Ecclesiastical Districts of Sorsogon, and Naga City, Camarines Sur, both of which are located in the Bicol region of the Philippines, conducted Lingap Sa Mamamayan (Care for Humanity) events at their respective venues.

Led by Brother Ruel R. Reyes, the district supervising minister, brethren from Sorsogon handed over care packages to their fellowmen at an open court in Barangay Jamorawon, in the municipality of Bulan, Sorsogon, which is about 66 kilometers away from the district office in Sorsogon City, on October 27, 2023.

“What you did for us is a great help. We thank you so much for your kindness,” expressed Roselyn Tan, a resident of the said village.

Two more Care for Humanity events were held by the said district that day, at the village of San Juan Daan, also in Bulan, and at Poblacion, a village in Castilla, Sorsogon.

Meanwhile, in the Ecclesiastical District of Naga City, Camarines Sur, the Care for Humanity event was held at Fuerte Sports Complex, Pili, Camarines Sur on October 29, 2023.

Brother Misael Dungca Jr., the district supervising minister, led the brethren in distributing care packages to their fellowmen.

“Along with my workmates, we are deeply grateful to the Iglesia Ni Cristo for these care packages,” said Teda Arlante, a recipient.

“The goal of this humanitarian event launched by the Church Administration is not only to assist those who are in need,” said Brother Dave Lee Daniwes, the Light of Salvation district overseer of Naga City, Camarines Sur. “It is also for the glory of our Almighty God,” he added. — With reports from Cherry Abad and Febbie San Pedro of INC News Section
