Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical Districts of Metro Manila East and Caloocan North, both in the National Capital Region (NCR) of the Philippines recently held Lingap Sa Mamamayan (Care for Humanity) events in separate venues.

Church members from the former district held theirs at Ynares Sports Arena, along Shaw Boulevard, Pasig, on October 27, 2023; those from the latter district at Caloocan Sports Complex, Caloocan, on October 31.

Brother Gerino Lalata, supervising minister of Metro Manila East, led the brethren in the district in distributing care packages to their fellowmen.

“Praises be to God for this outreach activity, especially now that I barely have essential needs,” Rowen Marie Argentes, one of the beneficiaries, enthused.

Meanwhile, the Care for Humanity in Caloocan North District was held with a medical mission. Led by the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) officers, the brethren provided fellow residents with free medical services, such as medical consultations, blood pressure check, and distribution of vitamins, among other food supplements. Care packages were also given.

Dr. Arissa Gonzales, deaconess from the Local Congregation of Deparo, and a pediatrician, said, “I am very thankful to our Lord God that I’ve become of help not only to my fellow brethren but also to my fellowmen who are in need of medical services.” — With reports from INC News Section
