Being diligent, passionate, respectful, and most importantly, consciously abiding by God’s commandments were emphasized to Christian Employees Asssociation (CEA) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Valladolid, Negros Occidental, in the Philippines, during their special gathering on November 4, 2023. It was conducted in time for their organization’s 37th anniversary.

Held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Pontevedra, the said gathering was officiated by Brother Dennis Almasco, district supervising minister.

Having the aforementioned qualities, “every employee can expect good relationship with his employer,” Brother Almasco said upon citing verses in the Bible. “Good employees don’t have to worry of being laid off from work,” he added.

“This gathering has helped me strive to become a more effective and productive employee,” said Nera Menci Mercurio from Ma-ao Congregation. “This has also inspired to me to further love my job.”

Annabella Pascua, CEA president in Pontevedra, expressed, “Having good qualities as employees only show that we uphold the true Christian values, which the Church Administration constantly reminds us about. Cultivating these truly brings happiness to our employers and us. Most of all, it glorifies our Lord God.” — With reports from INC News Section
