The “Basic Editing Seminar” sponsored by the leadership of the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) in the Ecclesiastical District of Thailand on January 23, 2022 drew enthusiasts from the Buklod, KADIWA, and Binhi organizations, among whom were members of the district multimedia bureau.

Giancarlo Escamillas, a professional cinematographer based in Metro Manila, and whose works include “Guerrero” and “Hapi Ang Buhay: The Musical” was the resource speaker. He shared with the attendees tips and techniques in basic video editing.

“Cinematography is the art and craft of making pictures in motion by capturing a story visually. This is also called ‘writing with movement.’ This is done by creating images you see on screen or a series of shots that form a cohesive narrative,” explained Escamillas. “Using and combining elements like lighting, shot size, camera focus, shot composition, camera placement, and camera movement you can create your own genuine style of film production.”

Cherry Rose Riñoza, the district multimedia director, said, “The basic video editing seminar was really useful for our brethren especially those who are in the multimedia because it helped them understand more of the basic editing as well as inspiring them to improve their editing skills.”

Brother Junie Alarin, the district CFO overseer, concluded the online seminar by delivering a Bible-based lecture. — With reports from INC News Section
