Held at the Vigan City Convention Center, Ilocos Sur on September 9, 2023, an inter-district finals of the Himig ng Kaligtasan (Songs of Salvation)-KADBin edition culminated the friendly competition among choral groups comprising talented KADIWA and Binhi members from 11 ecclesiastical districts.

The said districts, which are in Region 1 and Cordillera Administrative Region of the Philippines, are the Ecclesiastical Districts of Abra; Alaminos City, Pangasinan; Batac City, Ilocos Norte; Benguet; Laoag City; La Union;  Lingayen, Pangasinan; San Carlos City, Pangasinan; Rosales, Pangasinan; Urdaneta City, Pangasinan; and Ilocos Sur which served as the host district.

“Activities, such as this, organized by the Church Administration aim to showcase the talents of the youth in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) that provide strength and inspiration to participants and audience alike, especially during these trying times,” said Brother Tanny Valenciano, Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer of the Ecclesiastical District of Benguet.

The participants eagerly anticipated and prepared for the choral competition. As a result, the brethren who witnessed them perform were delighted by their rendition of Iglesia Ni Cristo original songs.

Brother Manny Santos, district supervising minister of Ilocos Sur, announced the choral group representing the Ecclesiastical District of Benguet as the champion of this inter-district Himig ng Kaligtasan KADBin edition 2023.

“We began our rehearsals in February,” Althea Daludado, a member of the winning choral group, shared, “We didn’t mind the sacrifices we had to go through because our primary goal was to inspire the brethren and, above all, to bring honor and glory to the Lord God.” — With reports from INC News Section
