The Local Congregation of Panacan, in the Ecclesiastical District of Davao City, marked its 70th anniversary with an INConcert held in the Grand Regal Hotel, located along J.P Laurel Avenue, Lanang Buhangin, Davao City, Philippines, on April 14, 2024.

Brother Macleo Ibasco, the district supervising minister, graced the activity with his presence. In his opening remarks, he not only commended the brethren’s selfless efforts, that led to the many successes God has blessed their congregation, but also encouraged them to maintain their enthusiasm whenever they participate in all of the Church’s activities.

An audio-visual presentation recounting the congregation’s history followed. Then, select brethren showcased their talents through song and dance performances featuring INC original music. The video greetings from various brethren and ministers formerly assigned at their local congregation touched everyone in attendance.

“Since its establishment in 1954, our local congregation has reaped immense successes not only in the work of edification but also in the work of propagation,” attested Rudolfo Molinos Sr., a 74-year-old head deacon and one of the pioneers of the said congregation. “I offer my deepest gratitude to our Lord God for the abundant blessings He has bestowed upon us,” he concluded.

The Church Of Christ reached Panacan in 1951. Three years later, the local congregation there was established. Through the years, the local congregation kept thriving, even instrumental in establishing the Lanang Congregation in 1993, the Vista Verde Group Worship Service (GWS) in 2020, and the Malagamot GWS in 2022.

“The ever-increasing number of brethren in our area is a clear manifestation of God’s blessings upon our local congregation,” said Adelaida Cenita, 77, also a pioneer of the congregation, adding, “May He continue to shower upon us abundant success, and may the future generations of our local congregation be also blessed with strong faith, ensuring their salvation on Judgment Day.”

Brother Mhark Jordan Mag-aso, the resident ministerial worker, and the congregation’s Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers organized the said event. — With reports from INC News Section
