On December 30 last year, the Ecclesiastical District of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, in the Philippines, held the last baptism for 2023, bringing the total number of new converts in the district for the said year to 1,989.

The district’s Light Of Salvation overseer attributed this success to the Lord God’s help and blessing such that the efforts of the brethren from Bacolod City were not in vain. “We thank our Lord God for the brethren in the Ecclesiastical District of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, never cease taking part in sharing the true faith, and through this, more people are being added into the Church,” said Brother Guillermo Fajardo Jr.

Brother Ronaldo Canlas officiated at the sacred gathering of the baptismal candidates and brethren who accompanied prior to the baptism proper. During the study of God’s words, the district supervising minister encouraged the would-be members to remain steadfast members of the Church Of Christ by remaining in their faith until the end to be deemed worthy of receiving God’s promise of salvation and eternal life. He reassured them of their newfound faith is the true one as it is based on God’s truth written in the Bible.

Such conviction indeed led Gabriel Villanueva to that blessed day as one of the newly baptized members. “My friends invited me to attend an evangelical mission, [and] as I was listening, I noticed that everything taught are written in the Bible, especially the teaching that the Father is the one true God Whom we should worship,” he shared. “That made me decide to join the Church Of Christ.” — With reports from Danica Udasco of INC News Section
