Newly baptized and prospective members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) from the Ecclesiastical District of Camarines Norte were treated to a musical program and free medical and dental check-up on April 4, 2023.

The “Welcome, My Brethren” activity and subsequent humanitarian mission held at the Centennial Wharf in Talisay, Camarines Norte, Philippines aimed to further inspire the new and would-be members to live their newfound faith and embrace them into the true Christian brotherhood.

The musical part of the two-pronged event was led by the officers of the Christian Family Organizations in the district. Some of them, together with other talented brethren, performed the Iglesia Ni Cristo original songs to the attendees’ delight.

Some of the prospective members also sang. One of them, Aicy Villamor, a doctrinal instructee from the Local Congregation of Paracale, said, “I was a bit nervous but being here, performing and entertaining, is worth it.”

Among the brethren who performed, Gladiz Sta. Cruz from the Local Congregation of Daet, said, “I’m very happy because we had this kind of activity, and I’ve been given the opportunity to perform before the presence of our newly baptized and prospective brethren.”

Led by the district Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) officers, the humanitarian part of the event occurred after the welcoming event. They provided free medical check-ups, and care packages containing medicine, among other basic needs, to everyone in attendance. — With reports from Allyana de Jesus of INC News Section
