Prospective members from various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Bogo City, Cebu, in the Philippines, reached the most-awaited day of their baptism as true Christians, either on March 24 or 25, 2023.

The first batch of baptismal candidates gathered at the house of worship of the Bantayan Local Congregation. Their gathering during which they received further biblical instructions and took the oath of membership was officiated by Brother Arnold Omandam, assistant district supervising minister.

The other baptism was held in the Bogo Congregation’s house of worship with Brother Dante Mujar, district supervising minister, delivering God’s words for the spiritual guidance of the would-be members that they may remain faithful therein until the end to receive salvation on Judgment Day.

Januario Mainit, from the Victoria Extension and among those baptized at Bogo shared in an interview that “the Church Of Christ was first introduced to me by a friend. He encouraged me to read religious articles that were posted online, and so I did. I noticed that all these that I’ve read have biblical bases.”

He said he then approached his cousin who “ushered me to the worship services. Afterwards, I started listening to the basic teachings of God upheld in the Church until finally, I received my baptism. I’m proud to say that I am a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).” — With reports from INC News Section
