In celebration of its 62nd anniversary, the Local Congregation of Chocolate Hills, Ecclesiastical District of Bohol, in the Philippines, conducted an evangelical mission on September 29, 2023 to share the faith to others.

Brother Raul Cervantes, the district supervising minister, led the study of God’s words held in the congregation’s house of worship, which “is just 15 minutes away from the popular Chocolate Hills viewpoint,” according to the head deacon, Florencio Sagliba.

A pioneer member of the congregation, Sagliba added, “Our place might be known for leisure but more importantly, the brethren here are also well known for being active in all Church works. We thank the Lord God for giving success to our evangelical mission. We were able to invite a lot of guests.”

Hours before the evangelical mission, Church officers led the brethren in handing out copies of Pasugo: God’s Message and religious pamphlets to their neighbors while at the same time inviting them to attend the upcoming Bible study.

Brother Cervantes pointed out to the eventual guests that Church members invited them in order to share to them their belief concerning the true religion that the Bible teaches. He expounded on the biblical truth regarding the inevitability of membership in the true Church Of Christ in securing salvation on Judgment Day.

Many guests expressed interest in knowing more about the Church and and its faith, some even enlisted as doctrinal instructees.

Among them were invitees of Primitivo Dumapias, a deacon who witnessed the growth of the Church “in our place which might be considered remote.” He said, “It will always be my joy to help in all the Church works. The people I invited, I’ll make sure to have more time to help them get to know more about the Church.” — With reports from Roselle Bacor of INC News Section
