On June 24, 2023, the Ecclesiastical District of San Carlos City, Pangasinan in the Philippines held two special gatherings—one for Church officers, and another for Christian Brotherhood International (CBI) members later that day. Brother Eduardo Olipas, district supervising minister, officiated at both occasions.

At 9 AM, Church officers all over the district were assembled in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Sta. Barbara. They were reminded by Brother Olipas through a Bible-based lecture about the value of their Church duties and how they can perform their respective functions effectively. Attendees of this gathering also witnessed the oath-taking of new officers.

“Even though I had to travel a great distance,” coming from the Local Congregation of Baracbac, approximately 70 kilometers away from Sta. Barbara, “I did not mind that at all. Instead, I am overjoyed for I received a Church duty from God, which is a great blessing for me,” said Benjamin Agni, who took oath as a group overseer.

“The Church Administration continues to campaign for the recruitment of more Church officers in order to fulfill the will of God that all brethren reach ‘Christian maturity’ and be certain of being saved come the Day of Judgment,” conveyed Brother Renmar Hementera, district Church officers overseer.

At 6 PM, CBI members, or Church members who are students, gathered in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Bayambang. Among the attendees were recent graduates of the academic year 2022-2023.

During this special gathering, Brother Olipas reiterated to the brethren that it is God Who gives knowledge, victories, and even wealth to His servants. Thus, it is only right for Church members to be blessed with such to always acknowledge and return all praises to God.

“We were reminded that as we reach our life goals, all the more that we should be humble and learn to be thankful to God. We should also be grateful to our parents who made a lot of sacrifice for us to finish our studies,” said Yvette Cruz, from the Local Congregation of Olo Cacamposan. She graduated from senior high school recently.

“In special gatherings approved by the Church Administration, we are taught the knowledge that is far above others—the words of God—which will serve as our guide as we strive to reach salvation,” said Brother Hementera. He added, “Thus, the brethren here in the Ecclesiastical District of San Carlos City, Pangasinan, will always be united with our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, who tirelessly teaches us God’s will.” — With reports from Samantha Claire Butuyan and Jessica Dela Cruz of INC News Section
