Pivotal in helping the Church Administration of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in edifying the faith of their fellow brethren, among others, Church officers are the first ones in need of spiritual strength. In light of this, in the Ecclesiastical District of Negros Oriental in the Philippines, they were gathered in seven venues to receive inspiration through God’s words on September 5, 2023.

The said venues were the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Dumaguete City, Bayawan City, Mabinay, Bais, Manjuyod, Siaton, and Siquijor. Assigned ministers of the gospel officiated at the said gatherings.

“My Church duty is my true treasure, with it lies my salvation. Just like what was reminded during the gathering, our duty to God is a blessing like no other,” said Rosa Estrella, a deaconess from the Local Congregation of Bayawan City.

This resounds the Bible-lesson taught to the attendees. The ministers emphasized that brethren should never hesitate to respond to the call to hold an office. One should not doubt that God, Who gave the duty, will also be the One to help those who faithfully uphold their calling.

Estrella added, “It has been proven in my life time and again that prioritizing our duty in the Church brings forth the evident love of our Father. I promise to uphold my office no matter what.”

Currently, Brother Renato Callejo is the supervising minister of Negros Oriental District, which consists of 57 local congregations, 13 extensions, and five group worship services (GWS). — With reports from Jonathan Rempillo of INC News Section
