The nine local congregations in the Bambang area of the Ecclesiastical District of Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines joined hands in holding “Welcome, My Brethren” on September 24, 2023 at the Nueva Vizcaya State University Gymnasium, Bambang.

The local congregations of Abian, Bambang, Barat, Dullao, Manamtan, Paitan, Pulay, San Fernando, and Sto. Domingo combined their efforts and resources for the success of the event, which aimed to welcome the newly baptized members of the Church, as well as the would-be members and doctrinal instructees.

The Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers from the nine local congregations organized the program, under the supervision of Brother Milovsky Gines, resident minister of the Bambang Congregation.

“The purpose of this undertaking is to build a stronger rapport with the newly baptized members as well as those who are in the process of joining the Church,” disclosed Joselito Hipolito, a deacon from the Sto. Domingo Congregation. “I am so happy seeing the enthusiasm of the brethren to participate in this activity.”

Brother Federico Ramos, assistant district supervising minister, delivered the opening remarks following the opening prayer led by Brother Reden Amandy, resident minister of the Abian Congregation.

After the inspirational message, the newly baptized members, candidates for baptism and doctrinal instructees from the said local congregations were introduced.

“I am so happy to take part in the ‘Welcome, My Brethren’ activity of the Iglesia Ni Cristo,” expressed Mark Anthony Agaloos. “I feel the wholehearted welcome of the brethren though I am still a prospective member of the Church.”

Select brethren performed dance and song numbers featuring Iglesia Ni Cristo original music. One of them, Waren Nariz, a choir member from the San Fernando Congregation, said, “My heart is filled with happiness because I was able to use my talent for this endeavor of the Church. I hope that my performance would be of help to inspire both the newly baptized brethren, and those in the process of joining the Church.”

The CFO officers also prepared fun games for the enjoyment of all the attendees. — With reports from Andrelei Orel Pagtama of INC News Section
