Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the 42 local congregations, five extensions, and six group worship services (GWS) of the Ecclesiastical District of Aurora, in the Philippines, invited their fellowmen to attend an evangelical mission as part of their commemoration of the district’s 58th anniversary.

Such an invitation was well received by 5,200 residents from Dipaculao town, in the province of Aurora, on May 28, 2023. On that day, they attended an evangelical mission that was held at Dipaculao Central School.

Brother Armando Manas, district supervising minister, led the study of God’s words. He taught the attendees about the need for people to enter the Church Of Christ to receive God’s promised salvation. He said, “It is important for people to understand God’s will because God Himself truly wants to save us on Judgment Day,” he said.

“The evangelical mission was held at a venue that is more than 50 kilometers away from the district office. That’s about a four-hour drive,” said Brother Erwin Yaguel, the district Light of Salvation overseer. “Nevertheless, the brethren did not waver to unite with the Church Administration through this activity,” he added.

“We feel so happy to have attended this activity. A month prior to it, I talked to my acquaintances, friends, and relatives because I want them also, not just my family, to know about God’s truth,” said Dan Carrel Donato from the Local Congregation of Baler.

“Such an effort of taking a four-hour trip was not in vain as I listened to the words of God. I am rather grateful because it has helped me on how to be closer to God,” said Jennifer Agustin, who is now a doctrinal instructee in the Local Congregation of Dilasag. — With reports from Richelle Fernandez of INC News Section
