“My heart is filled with gladness,” said Nerissa Bitoon, a finance officer, about the great blessing their local congregation recently received before June 2023 ended. She further shared, “As I look back, I can’t help but be grateful to God on how He answered our prayers.”

“I can’t express my feelings when I first saw our new house of worship because it’s very beautiful. I just said to myself, ‘God is so good,’” declared Rebeca Aaron, an organist.

On June 30, the new house of worship of the Local Congregation of Gines, Ecclesiastical District of Iloilo South, where Nerissa and Rebeca are registered, was dedicated to God through a worship service led by Brother Mario L. Mabuti, district supervising minister.

From the Holy Scriptures, Brother Mabuti highlighted the relevance of the house of worship to members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) who always trust in God. Hence, the brethren were exhorted to give high importance to such holy edifice the way it should be.

As the congregation’s head deacon, Steven Victoriano promised to “lead the brethren in worshiping God and serving Him actively. The new house of worship will serve as our inspiration to never give up and a testament that the Lord is merciful to us.”

Thirty-five kilometers east from the district office in Iloilo City in the Philippines, the new house of worship of the Gines Congregation, in the municipality of Miag-ao, can accommodate 150 worshipers.

Brother Nelson Yanguas, resident minister, on behalf of the brethren, expressed, “We’ll take care of the house of worship, maintain its cleanliness, and most importantly, we’ll never neglect our worship services.”

“We thank God, through the instrumentality of the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for blessing us with a new house of worship. This edifice is truly important to us so we can continue serving the Lord worthy of His Name,” enthused Brother Mabuti. — With reports from Gem Atanacio of INC News Section
