To celebrate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the West, brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Hawaii-Pacific, led by supervising minister Brother Gem Baitan, gathered together at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 30, 2023 for multiple activities.

The celebration began with the formal opening of an exhibit displaying photographs of past activities as part of the rich history of the Church in Hawaii Pacific. This was followed with the giving of recognition to the living pioneering members in Hawaii.

During the program that ensued, the letter of the Brother Eduardo V. Manalo addressed to all the brethren in Hawaii-Pacific was read by Brother Adorado Apostol, assistant district supervising minister. In his message, the Executive Minister encouraged them to be more steadfast in the faith and be more obedient to the Lord God’s commands to receive salvation on the nearing return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The upliftment the brethren received from the inspiring message was further augmented by the musical performances of INC Original Music they were treated with throughout the program.

“Today we are celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Church in the West and I am so grateful for I was able to witness it and given a chance to perform before the brethren,” enthused Jordan Agustin from the Local Congregation of Keaau.
“This activity is truly inspiring. And it also served as an avenue for us to exhibit our talents for the glory of God.”

Jasmin Espejo, one of the orchestral performers disclosed, “I am truly happy to be able to perform in the 55th anniversary of the Church in the West. Those countless night that we spent for practicing our piece “Journey to our new home” were all worth it. And I hope we brought inspiration and joy to the brethren and even more glory to the Lord God.” — With reports from INC News Section
