The Ecclesiastical District of Isabela South in the Philippines convened married members on December 18, 2023, in commemoration of the 61st anniversary of Buklod, the organization in the Church Of Christ for its married members. The host site of the special gathering was the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Santiago City; the house of worship of the other local congregations served as remote sites.

The special gathering was officiated by Brother Esmeraldo Mayoralgo, district supervising minister. In his homily, Brother Mayoralgo emphasized to the attendees the qualities they must possess as they lead their respective households in the right way of serving God. Doing so, he reminded them, will ensure them of receiving God’s great blessings, most important of all, salvation on the Day of Judgment, eternal life and dwelling in the Holy City.

“I am truly thankful to the Lord God for giving us this opportunity to once again be reminded the importance of obeying all of His commandments, especially on our part as parents,” expressed Constante Medina, Buklod president from the Local Congregation of Santiago City.

“I promise to the Lord God that I will continue upholding my services to Him no matter what. I will pass on my true and strong faith to my children and even to my grandchildren,” said Abraham Cariazo, deacon from the same local congregation. — With reports from Cielo Albano of INC News Section
