Church Of Christ members in the Ecclesiastical District of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, Philippines are thankful to God for being blessed with additional converts as their district held a baptism on December 29, 2021.

Gathered at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Kabankalan City, the candidates for baptism received biblical teachings through the preaching of the district supervising minister, Brother Dante Mujar. The baptismal candidates were exhorted to remain firm in their faith as they face trials in this world. They were also reminded that strong faith is necessary for them to remain in the hope of receiving salvation.

“It is a great blessing that we are now baptized in the Church Of Christ,” said Noli dela Paz, one of those who received their much-awaited baptism. Together with his two sons who were also baptized that day, they are now enlisted in the Local Congregation of Candoni. The brethren who were instrumental to their conversion into the Church were Alijine, a head deacon, and wife Gina Adla-on, a deaconess, from the same congregation.

“Despite being busy from our work, we made time to guide them,” said Alijine, who is a public school teacher. Also, as part of their unity with the Church Administration in the intensive work of propagation, he added, “We continuously help in the missionary works in our local congregation spearheaded by the Church officers.” — With reports from INC News Section
