Aspiring members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Ecclesiastical District of Benguet finally received baptism at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Baguio City on November 25, 2023.

Brother Jessy Capuno, district supervising minister, officiated the baptismal service. He highlighted from the Bible that God expects all members of the true Church to hold on tight their election, which is by obeying all the commandments of God, to ensure their salvation on Christ’s return.

The candidates’ taking oath of membership followed, and thereafter their actual baptism.

“Since I was in the process of examining the Church doctrines, I firmly believe that all the biblical lessons I receive are the true words of God. For such reason I decided to join in the Church,” Ed Liwan, a newly baptized member, from the Local Congregation of Balakbak. “Through God’s mercy, I’ve been able to receive the true baptism today.”

“Thanks to our Lord God for I have become a member of the true religion that will lead me to salvation,” enthused Memeya Jose, also a newly baptized, from Kapangan Congregation.

“I felt invigorated when I received the holy baptism. I vowed to put off my old self and imitate the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ to receive the promised eternal life,” shared Kyla Estacio, a new convert from Guisad Congregation. — With reports from INC News Section
