Before the end of the month of June, the Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga East gained additional strength as 903 members of the Church were sworn into office during a special gathering of all Church officers. The Church Administration sent Brother Arnel A. Tumanan to officiate at the sacred occasion.

The Local Congregation of San Fernando hosted the special gathering on June 25, 2023, wherein the newly instated Church officers assembled, while other attendees gathered in the seven remote sites connected through livestreaming. The other sites were the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Buensuceso, Candaba, Arayat, Apalit, Pandacaqui, Sta. Lucia, and Balitucan.

District supervising minister Brother Bhel John Ubaldo led the congregation in the opening prayer, prior to the preaching of the words of God.

In his homily, Brother Tumanan emphasized to the attendees the vital role of Church officers for the edification of the entire Church Of Christ. Thus, those entrusted with offices must give the corresponding utmost value to them.

“This special gathering of Church officers was held for us to be guided on how to properly perform our duties and fulfill our obligations to the fullest extent to be of help to the Administration of the Church in all its endeavors,” said Brother Elmer Villamia, Church officers overseer of Pampanga East.

The oath-taking of more than 900 new officers was led by Brother Tumanan, after which, assistant district supervising minister Brother Edgardo Gonzales led the congregational prayer.

On behalf of all Church officers in the district, Brother Villamia said, “We vow to always be one with our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, in all of the activities that he launches.” — With reports from Are-Ar Roque and Ederlyn Tayag of INC News Section
