More than a thousand brethren from the various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental participated in the Fun Walk hosted by the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) on a fine Saturday morning, January 7, 2023.

Led by Brother Ronaldo Canlas, the district supervising minister, the participants made a circuit—approximately a kilometer—around the Bacolod City New Government Center, whose grounds have become popular among locals as a place for exercise.

District CFO officers led the brethren in warm up exercises before the fun walk commenced and a complementary exercise routine after.

“We started 2023 with this activity for the brethren. Activities, such as this, are important for us to take care of our body so we can continue serving our Lord God,” Brother Jomar Corpuz, district CFO overseer, explained.

For the participants, the activity not only benefitted them health-wise but also provided a good opportunity to enhance family and brotherly ties.

“This activity also served as a bonding time for our family,” said Elena Blanco, choir member from Villa Villeta (Green Hills) Local Congregation.

“I’m overjoyed to see my friends in this activity,” Ronna Marie Canlas, a choir member from the Local Congregation of Bacolod City, expressed. “This inspires us, young members, to be active in Church activities.” — With reports from INC News Section
