In different venues throughout the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe, a three-day Care For Humanity event was held, from October 27 to 29, 2023.

On October 27, the Local Congregations of Oslo and Oslo East in Norway conducted their humanitarian activity.

The Mjøndalen, Rjukan, Kristiansand, and Larvik group worship services (GWS) in Norway, local congregations and group worship services in Sweden, and the Olomouc, Czech Republic GWS held theirs the following day simultaneously.

Finally, the Stavanger GWS, the Local Congregation of Copenhagen, Denmark, and the congregations and group worship services in Austria closed the Care For Humanity series on the last day.

Part of every event was a video presentation about the Church’s humanitarian and propagational works all over the world. In addition, medical services were also provided to the attendees.

Mr. Chinsanga Perry Chansongo, a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia, attended at the Care For Humanity event in Stockholm, Sweden with his family. He shared his fascination on the large scale of the Church’s works today.

“The video presentation was actually eye-opening for me. There are so much happening around the world and so many are suffering. For there to be a Church helping people is truly touching and a very good thing,” Mr. Chinsanga said. “We are members of another [religious] denomination in Zambia, but we look forward to learning the Christian beliefs of the Church Of Christ,” he added.

Ms. Ma. Luisa F. Roque, a cultural officer of the Philippine Embassy in Stockholm, attended at the same event. She conveyed, “I am happy to be invited to this kind of event. I can see that when people are invited to the Iglesia Ni Cristo, they grow in their knowledge … I believe we can learn from each other. I’d be happy to invite my colleagues in events like this in the future.”

After the video presentation, ministers and ministerial workers overseeing in each venue shared the Church Of Christ’s biblical basis in helping others who are in need, and emphasized the greatest help that the Church can offer—God’s words that will lead to salvation on Judgment Day.

Brother Vizar Balcita, district supervising minister, said, “Through the leadership of the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, we are able to conduct Care For Humanity events. We aim not only to extend material assistance to our fellowmen, but most importantly help them come to the knowledge of the truth so that we may all be able to serve and worship the true God and attain salvation come Judgment Day.” — With reports from Kenneth Abuan and Northern Europe District Multimedia
