More brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Mediterranean heeded the call of the Church Administration to be of greater help in the Church’s edification work by holding offices in their respective local congregations.

These new officers, among them, deacons, deaconesses, and group overseers, took their oath of duty during a special gathering held on March 26, 2022.

Brother Danny Pregillana, district edification overseer, led the sacred occasion which was conducted via videoconferencing. He reiterated to the congregants in his Bible-based sermon the importance of qualities those appointed to shepherd Christ’s flock should possess to be able to fulfill their duty worthily. He emphasized the integrity and sincerity demonstrated by always following the Lord God’s commands.

After the homily, Brother Pregillana administered the oath-taking of the additional Church officers. In an interview after the gathering, he said, “Getting additional officers is vital because this means that more Church officers will be of help to the Church Administration in caring for the brethren and leading them toward receiving salvation.”

“Being entrusted with this duty makes me glad. I recognize this as a great blessing from our Lord God. I wholeheartedly promise to God and to the Church Administration that I will fulfill this to the rest of my life,” Edsel Jayson dela Cruz, a newly-sworn in deacon, said. — With reports from INC News Section
