The rapid growth of the erstwhile Notre Dame Group Worship Service since 2011 into the Local Congregation of Rathwell in April 2014 was a blessing from the Lord God. This its grateful members firmly believed.

“To see the great growth of this congregation, it’s very important to recognize that it wasn’t because of us but it was always because of God’s love to His people,” said Brother Ivan Joseph Pascual, resident ministerial worker. “He never forsakes His servants that He has chosen in this part of the world.”

To commemorate the ninth anniversary of the establishment of the local congregation, the brethren from Rathwell, the members of the congregation conducted a special gathering on April 23, 2023.

Manitoba, Canada District supervising minister, Brother Roland Andrade officiated at the momentous occasion, during which the brethren praised the Lord for His continued guidance and protection to their congregation as a whole and to them as members.

During the homily, Brother Andrade reminded the brethren of the great importance of worshiping God, enumerating from the Bible His goodness to His children who highly value this Christian duty of theirs far above worldly things.

The brethren later said they felt the outpouring of spiritual blessings from God through His uplifting words and the presence of the Holy Spirit throughout the sacred gathering, inspiring them to remain committed to their Church duties.

Noriel Verzosa, one of the congregation’s head deacons, stated, “Even though the world right now isn’t getting any better, I will always uphold a righteous way of life and continue to be obedient to all of God’s commandments.”

In the same spirit, Aries Mesina, the head deacon, promised, “I will take care of the brethren and lead them in uniting with the Church Administration in all of the endeavors of the Church. With the help of our Lord God, we can all surmount whatever problems so we can reach the day of our salvation.”

After the holy occasion, the Rathwell Congregation’s members continued their celebration with a musical program they held at a nearby events place, which provided another opportunity to boost their brotherly bond. — With reports from the INC News Section
