More than 20 kilometers away from the Agusan Del Sur Ecclesiastical District office in the Philippines stands the newly refurbished 110-seater house of worship of the Local Congregation of Afga. Named after the village where it is located, its dedication worship service was held after 13 months of renovation.

Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) from the said congregation thus convened for a special worship service on April 26, 2024, with Brother Felix Villabrille Jr., the district supervising minister, officiating.

During the study of God’s words, Brother Villabrille admonished all the attendees to show utmost respect befitting the house of worship, for it is where God’s glory dwells, that is, they all the more feel God’s abiding presence in their lives. Having their house of worship refurbished, the congregants were reminded to be thankful to God for that and all other blessings He gives them.

Laarni Dizon, choir leader, enthused, “My heart is brimming with joy. On my part, I pledge to dedicate myself even more in fulfilling my duties to Him.”

The house of worship is now equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system, two LED TV videoconferencing system, CCTV camera system, and the Johannus organ. Also constructed were a pastoral house and office spaces.

Brother Daniel Bolinquit II, the resident ministerial worker, conveyed the heartfelt gratitude and promise of brethren in the congregation, “We deeply express our gratitude to God for answering our prayers, providing us through the Church Administration this magnificent place of worship. We will take good care of it.” — With reports from INC News Section
