The Ecclesiastical District of San Carlos City, Pangasinan has completed a series of special gatherings of elderly Church officers and members that ran during the first half of March 2023, culminating at the one held in the Local Congregation of Bayambang’s house of worship.

These sacred occasions held in five more areas besides Bayambang and officiated at by the district supervising minister, Brother Eduardo Olipas, were intended for the edification of elderly brethren, as well as to recognize their years of Christian service.

In each gathering, Brother Olipas delivered the words of God reassuring the congregants that despite human weakness yet with the strength and help that come from Him, His servants could carry on with their sacred obligations until they reach the heavenly abode on the Lord’s great day.

“It’s inspiring,” said Peter Caldona from the Malasiqui Congregation, who attended with his wife, Erlinda. “We will continue on with our services to God. Although we are old, the spiritual strength we received is more than enough reason to face whatever trials we may encounter so we can remain in our membership,” he added.

“All throughout the gatherings, God has been with us,” Brother Olipas said. “The Holy Spirit was evidently felt, edifying us all in the faith. We thank Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, for launching such activities.” — With reports from INC News Section
