October 31 is a momentous day for members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) as it is the birthday of Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister. That is why on the said day of this year, 2023, Care for Humanity events were held in multiple venues all over the world where the Church maintains congregations.

In the province of Laguna in the Philippines, the ecclesiastical districts of Sta. Cruz and San Pablo City respectively held the said activity at the Laguna State Polytechnic University and the San Pablo City Convention Center.

Supervising ministers of both districts were hands-on in leading the brethren in the said activity. Through the Care for Humanity program, the brethren extend help to their fellowmen—a commandment of God that the Church has been upholding ever since, with the guidance of the Church Administration.

But more than the material help is that which can lead people to salvation on Judgment Day. Thus, video presentations about the Church, featuring its endeavors and biblical bases, were shown in both venues.

Brother Melvin Cayabyab, supervising minister of Sta. Cruz, Laguna said, “We owe to the Almighty God the fruition of this event. The result was immense as thousands benefited. More than the material package we gave, we believe that through this, they got to know more about the true Church.”

“The effects of the pandemic are still felt in my household. We had to switch with our line of work just to cover all our needs. Having received and felt the concern of the Church is heartwarming,” said Marilou Dela Peña, a guest in San Pablo City. — With reports from Kathleen Belena and Catherine Urtula of INC News Section
