The Unity Games in the Ecclesiastical District of Macau brought together Church Of Christ members from its four congregations, namely Barra, Macau, San Malou, and Taipa.

The participants, belonging to the Buklod, KADIWA, and Binhi organizations competed in basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, marathon relays, arm wrestling, and board games like scrabble and chess. Children’s Worship Service (CWS) also played in games appropriate for them.

The sporting event, held on December 20, 2023 at the Macau Olympic Stadium in Taipa, was organized by the officers from the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) led by Brother Shandrick Earl Ang, district CFO overseer.

“We took the chance to gather together and spent the day with other brethren in Macau since it’s a public holiday here,” said Rodel Simpleo, Buklod president from the Macau Congregation. “The activity also aimed to keep us physically active and spiritually strengthened as we unite with the Church Administration,” he added.

Nimfa Albano, choir member from the San Malou Congregation, expressed, “I’m happy to see my fellow brethren in this kind of activity. More than the games we competed, it was the camaraderie and bonding that I was really excited about.”

The Taipa Congregation was hailed overall champion as the athletes representing it emerged winners for majority of the games played.

Brother Roly Tuazon, resident minister of the said congregation, expressed, “Every family who participated and joined the event was the real winner because it all the more edified their faith. I thank Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister, and Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, CFO Coordinator, for launching such an activity.” — With reports from Miraflor Rimerata of INC News Section
