Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Weston, Ecclesiastical District of Manitoba, Canada went retro style as they dressed up in ‘60s fashion during their gathering at the Auditorium of the Silver Heights Chapel, Winnipeg, Manitoba, on April 9, 2023, to commemorate their congregation’s sixth anniversary.

Brother Roland Andrade, district supervising minister, led the opening prayer. Then he commended the brethren for their selfless efforts that, with God’s help and mercy, brought to fruition all of the Church’s endeavors their congregation united with, and consequently, the victories that they also hope for.

For the occasion, select KADIWA and Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members rendered song and dance performances that featured original Iglesia Ni Cristo music. The fun games that followed also gained attention and participation among the brethren. Prizes were given to the victors afterwards.

“This celebration fostered camaraderie between Church officers and the brethren entrusted to our care,” said Samuel Javier, head deacon. “This activity is important as it provided us time to bond with each other,” Wynnonah Panganiban, KADIWA officer, added.

“This event was yet an opportune time also for many more people to know more about the Church, which is why the brethren brought along loved ones and friends who are nonmembers,” attested Brother Jason Abrias, resident ministerial worker. — With reports from Denisse Roque of INC News Section
