Brethren from Winnipeg North deemed it most significant to commemorate their local congregation’s 12th anniversary by spreading the Good News of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

For this, they conducted an evangelical mission on May 19, 2023 in their house of worship to which they invited many guests to listen to the proclamation of God’s words.

“As a response to the call of the Church Administration to intensify the work of propagation, the brethren helped to make the work of propagation a success,” Brother Felman Saren said in an interview. He is the resident minister of the Winnipeg North Congregation, which belongs in the Manitoba Ecclesiastical District.

Brother Saren led the Bible study, as well as in the preparations that needed to be done for the orderly conduct of the propagation activity. “One of the preparations we made was that we had a week of devotional prayer … invited friends and loved ones through various social media platforms, and gave Pasugo magazines and pamphlets,” he said.

“Tonight, we are blessed to have an evangelical mission to commemorate our 12th founding anniversary here in Winnipeg North Congregation,” Alvin Pamandanan, a head deacon, said after the activity. “We reminded the brethren that this is a special occasion for our anniversary, so many of the brethren responded. We have invited many guests, most of whom are interested in listening to the words of God.”

Regarding the guests, Brother Saren said, “We hope that we will not only join them in Bible studies or evangelical missions but also be together in the Church Of Christ so that they too can be saved on the Day of Judgment.”

“What we talked about tonight was interesting,” Jocelyn Ocsena, a guest, said.  “The minister taught about the true God. I understand that there is only one true God, the Father in heaven. And the minister taught about the importance of joining the Church Of Christ which Christ, the Savior, will save. It’s a good reminder for me and my husband, especially since everybody is busy. Such spiritual things are often taken for granted.”

Her husband, Erwin, added, “In my observation, the minister’s preaching is clear. The words of God are easy to understand while being read in the Bible. For me, the message had a huge impact on everyone who listened, especially on me.”

Another guest, Sajjad Remy Anwar from Pakistan, said, “I have also been to many churches. It was wonderful to listen and learn the teachings of God within the Church Of Christ. I learned a wonderful message today.” — With reports from Eric Perey of INC News Section
