Sharing God’s love as their congregation reached its 32nd anniversary, officers and members from the Local Congregation of Navy, Ecclesiastical District of Capas, Tarlac, in the Philippines, conducted a blood donation activity at their house of worship compound on September 16, 2023.

“Donating blood boosts the donors’ physical and psychological wellness. In a psychological sense, we feel positive about ourselves. In terms of physical benefits, it reduces excess iron in our body that causes cancer,” said Dr. Jeff Romano, a medical representative of the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC).

This blood donation’s primary beneficiaries will be “our pediatric patients in the PCMC. Also through this drive, our sister hospitals will also be assisted if they would lack their supply,” added Dr. Romano.

Among those who voluntarily donated was Jerome Policarpio from the Local Congregation of Pag-asa. This activity, for him, is “not just developing physical wellness but also a way of uniting with the Church Administration in all of the Church’s endeavors.”

“It’s a pleasure to be of help to those who are in need,” said resident minister, Brother Daniel Dueñas. — With reports from Princess Mykoh Takada of INC News section
