The cooking challenge hosted by the Ecclesiastical District of Tarlac City, Tarlac, in the Philippines, that reached inter-local elimination-KADIWA edition on September 2, 2023 exhibited cooking skills of young members in the said district.

Held at a covered court in Tarlac City, the activity was organized by the district’s Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers.

Of the eight local congregations in the district’s central area that had representatives for this friendly competition, those of the Local Congregations of Tarlac City, Aguso, and Tibag made it to this elimination round, and showed their best in cooking their chosen cuisine.

After the evaluation by the judges, Aguso was declared champion; Tibag and Tarlac City the first and second runners-up, respectively. The winners received medals and certificates of recognition.

“Participating in these activities launched by the Church Administration brings about enthusiasm, promotes camaraderie, and most of all further edifies us, young members of the Church, in our membership,” expressed Aphrylle Anne Ayuyao, local congregation secretary and among the representatives of the winning team.

The finals of this cooking challenge is expected to be held in November. — With reports from Jaime Julipas and Bealyssa Bianca Basto of INC News Section
